I. Invitation to Participate: We invite people interested in Devkota scholarship to present their research findings and scholarly articles at our monthly programmes that are held on the last Saturday of the Nepali month.

We welcome papers, talks, pannel discussions, etc. Please contact us if you would like to present anything in our monthly programmes.

We invite foreign scholars too to read Devkota in this website or elsewhere and to send us your studied responses to Devkota literature. We prefer textual analysis rather than cogitations on Devkota's philosophy.

III. New Findings on Devkota

According to Biographer Nityaraj Pandey, Devkota's "Purnimako Jaladhi" was the first poem to be published in Gorkhapatra of Friday November 30, 1934. However, another poem titled "Shodasi Sundari" has been found to have been published in Gorkhapatra in two parts on Baishakha 18 and 25, 1985, corresponding to April 30 and May 7, 1928.

Devkota Research Fellowship Awards

1. June 6, 2009. Mahakavi Devkota Centre granted the 2009 Devkota Centenary Research Fellowship Award jointly to Phatik Poudel, Tara Adhikary, and Kumar Adhikary. The three scholars will jointly write a research paper on "Devkota as a Playwright." They will also translate Krishi-Bala into English.

2. November 12, 2010. Mahakavi Devkota Centre ( DSRC) has awarded the Devkota Research Fellowship Award for 2010 to Professor Dr. Deviprasad Gautam of the Central Department of Nepali, TU, Kirtipur. He will study the use of language in Devkota's essays.

Devkota Research Study Awards

1. July 13, 2009. Devkota Centre granted a Research Study Award of Rs. 15,000.00 (fifteen thousand only) to Laxman Gautam. He will conduct a research on "Beyond Caste, Class and Group: Creation of Nepalese Identity in Devkota's Poetry" and present his research at the One Hundred and First Birth Anniversary of Laxmi Prasad Devkota.

2. July 14, 2009. Devkota Centre granted a Research Study Award of Rs. 15,000.00 (fifteen thousand only) jointly to Saroj Ghimire and Ghanashyam Bhandari. They will conduct a research on "Creation of Language Identity in Devkota's Poetry in English" and present their research at the One Hundred and First Birth Anniversary of Laxmi Prasad Devkota.

Devkota Research Fellowship Rules:

महाकवि लक्ष्मीप्रसाद देवकोटा अध्ययन तथा अनुसन्धान केन्द्र
महाकवि देवकोटा विद्वद्वृत्ति कार्यविधि २०६६

अ) प्रारम्भ

१। “महाकवि देवकोटा वि द्व द्वृत्ति” कोष स्थापना : महाकवि लक्ष्मीप्रसाद देवकोटाका कृतिहरूलाई राष्ट्रिय तथा अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय स्तरमा अध्ययन तथा अनुसन्धानलाई प्रोत्साहन गर्न महाकवि लक्ष्मीप्रसाद देवकोटा अध्ययन तथा अनुसन्धान केन्द्रले महाकवि देवकोटा शतवार्षिकी २०६६ सालको अवसरमा “महाकवि देवकोटा वि द्व द्वृत्ति” (Mahakavi Devkota Research Fellowship स्थापना गर्न रु ५,००,०००।— (पाँच लाख रुपैयाँ) को अक्षय कोष व्याङ्कमा जम्मा पारेर त्यसको वार्षिक व्याजबाट हरेक वर्ष विद्वतवृत्ति प्रदान गर्ने व्यबस्था गरेको छ ।

२। महाकवि देवकोटा वि द्व द्वृत्ति कोषमा यस केन्द्रले यथासंभव रकमवृद्धि गर्दै लैजाने छ ।

आ) अध्ययन तथा अनुसन्धानको विषय

१। महाकवि देवकोटा वि द्व द्वृत्ति मूलत: महाकवि लक्ष्मीप्रसाद देवकोटामा केन्द्रीत विषयसँग सम्बन्धित अध्ययन तथा अनुसन्धानको लागि दिइने छ । जस्तै :—
क) महाकवि लक्ष्मीप्रसाद देवकोटाका कृति, व्यक्तित्व वा जीवनीमाथि गरिने अध्ययन वा अनुसन्धानतर्फ,
ख) महाकवि लक्ष्मीप्रसाद देवकोटासँग स्वदेशी वा विदेशी सर्जक, साहित्यकार, कलाकार, आदिको तुलनात्मक अध्ययन वा अनुसन्धानतर्फ,
ग) महाकवि लक्ष्मीप्रसाद देवकोटाको युग र सो युगका प्रमुख धार र प्रवृत्तिहरूको अध्ययन वा अनुसन्धानतर्फ ।
घ) महाकवि लक्ष्मीप्रसाद देवकोटाका कृतिहरूको (भूमिका र टिप्पणी सहितको) अनुवादतर्फ ।

ई) प्रक्रिया

१। महाकवि देवकोटा वि द्व द्वृत्ति प्रत्येक वर्ष महाकवि देवकोटाको जन्मजयन्तिको अवसरमा प्रदान गरिने छ ।
२। महाकवि देवकोटा वि द्व द्वृत्ति प्राप्त गर्न आवश्यक प्रक्रिया :— क) महाकवि देवकोटा केन्द्रले तोकेको समयभित्र उम्मेदवारले अनुसन्धानको प्रस्ताव पेश गर्नु पर्ने छ र सो प्रस्ताव केन्द्रको कार्यकारिणीको वैठकमा सम्बन्धित विषेशज्ञहरू समेत आमन्त्रण गरी योग्य उम्मेदवारलाई प्रदान गर्ने छ ।

उ) उम्मेदवार

१। महाकवि देवकोटा वि द्व द्वृत्ति प्राप्त गर्न उम्मेदवारको निम्नलिखित अनुशारको योग्यता हुनुपर्ने छ :—
क) विश्वविद्यालयबाट स्नातकोत्तर उपाधि
ख) अनुसन्धान कार्यमा अनुभव प्राप्तलाई ग्राह्यता दिइने छ ।
२। महाकवि देवकोटा वि द्व द्वृत्ति राष्ट्र, जात, लिङ्ग, धर्म, वर्ण, आदिको आधारमा विभेद नगरी योग्यताको आधारमा महाकवि लक्ष्मीप्रसाद देवकोटा अध्ययन तथा अनुसन्धान केन्द्रले कसैलाई पनि दिन सक्ने छ ।

ऊ) पारिश्रमिक रकम भुक्तानी

१। महाकवि लक्ष्मीप्रसाद देवकोटा अध्ययन तथा अनुसन्धान केन्द्रले महाकवि देवकोटा विद्वद्वृत्ति प्राप्त गर्ने व्यक्तिलाई ५० प्रतिशत पारिश्रमिकको रकम भुक्तानी अध्ययन आरम्भ भएपछि र बाँकी ५० प्रतिशत सो अध्ययन केन्द्रलाई बुझएपछि प्रदान गरिने छ ।
