- April 2010: Mahakavi Devkotaka Antim Sworharu, a transcription of the taped conversations with the dying poet, is in the market. It is published by Dovan Prakashan.
- On March 24, 2010, Devkota Centre co-ordinated a book launching program at the Nepal Academy Hall. Gadhyakarka rupama devkota by Ravilal Adhikary is published by Ali Miyan Lokvangmaya Prathisthan, Pokhara.
- On February 20, 2010, Devkota Centre formed a Mahakavi Devkota Library Management Sub-Committee comprising of three members: Sushil Shahi (co-ordinator), Sagar Bhatta and Tilaram Sapkota.
- On February 5, 2010, Devkota Centre formed a Committee for the Preservation of Mahakavi Devkota's Heritage." The members of the committee are: Bishnu Prabhat (co-ordinator), Geeta Keshari, Rochak Ghimire, Govinda Gajurel and Lilaraj Bimali.
- On the 31st of December 2009, the Director General of the Postal Service Department Mr. Lokprasad Acharya formally issued a Rs. 1 centenary stamp of Mahakavi Laxmi Prasad Devkota as per the request of Mahakavi Laxmi Prasad Devkota Study and Research Centre. 4000000 (four million/forty lakh) stamps were printed.
- Dr. Ammaraj Joshi, member of the executive body of Mahakavi Laxmi Prasad Devktoa Study and Research Centre, has just completed his PhD from Tribhuvan University. We congratulate him on his success and wish him a very fruitful scholarly journey ahead.
- Sports enthusiasts of Nepali origin in the Northern Virginia area played Mahakavi Devkota Memorial Soccer match to celebrate Mahakavi Devkota Janma Shatabdi on Sunday, October 25th, 2009 at the Bull Run Regional Park, Centreville, Virginia. The formally established regional sports club called Northern Virginia Nepali Sports Club (NVNSC) adopted “flying to reach beyond moon” as its motto and “shoot for the moon” as its slogan per Mahakavi Devkota’s famous words.
- Devkota Studies 7 has come out. Price = Rs. 50
- Shiva Regmi has compiled and edited Mahakavika Bhumika, a compilation of the prefaces and introductions written by the poet in his own works as well as in the works of other writers. It is published by Seemanta Publication and the price is Rs. 150.
- Vishnuraj Atreya's Ek Devkota Anek Ayam is a new addition to Devkota studies. It is published by Himal Book Stock, Dillibazar.

- INTERACTION PROGRAM: On October 11, 2009, Vangmaya Pragya Prathisthan, Palpa, organized an interaction program in the library hall of Dhawal Pustakalaya, Palpa, where poet Laxmi Prasad Devkota had signed the visitor's book on March 19, 1953. Shyam Krishna Sharma, Netra, Neupane, Ramprasad Gyawali, Shailendu Prakash Nepal, Saroj Ghimire, Ammaraj Joshi, Shreedhar Lohani and Padma Devkota spoke on various topics related to the life and works of poet Devkota. Gopal Prasad Bashyal, president of VPP, presided over the session.
- BOOK DONATION TO DSRC: September 21, 2009. Kamal Mani Dikshit has donated 250 copies of his new title, Gurubheti, to DSRC during the Jagadamba-Shree and Madan-Puraskar Award Event held at Rato Bangala, Lalitpur. This collection of 19 write-ups on Mahakavi Devkota by Kamal Mani Dikshit is worth Rs. 200 each.
- GENERAL BODY ASSEMBLY: July 25, 2009. The GB Assembly of DSRC decided to decrese the term of the Executive Body from five years to two years. It has also added two posts to the regular seven of the Executive Body: Joint-Secretary and Member. Now the Executive Body comprises, not seven, but nine members. There were several other refinements and changes made in the Constitution of DSRC. The GB Assembly also formulated a set of rules to systematize the process of offering the Devkota Research Fellowship Award for the coming years.
- RESEARCH STUDY AWARD: July 14, 2009. Devkota Centre granted a Research Study Award of Rs. 15,000.00 (fifteen thousand only) jointly to Saroj Ghimire and Ghanashyam Bhandari. They will conduct a research on "Creation of Language Identity in Devkota's Poetry in English" and present their research at the One Hundred and First Birth Anniversary of Laxmi Prasad Devkota.
- RESEARCH STUDY AWARD: July 13, 2009. Devkota Centre granted a Research Study Award to Laxman Gautam to conduct a research in "Beyond Caste, Class and Group: Creation of Nepalese Identity in Devkota's Poetry." He will present this research at the One Hundred and First Birth Anniversary of Laxmi Prasad Devkota.
- FINANCIAL AID FOR RESEARCH STUDY: July 5, 2009. Devkota Centre has received Rs. 15,147 from Khem Aryal and Rs. 15,000 from Gopi Sapkota solely for the promotion of scholarship on Devkota. This money will be utilized in research on Devkota before the end of the Centenary Year.
- DEVKOTA CENTENARY RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP: On the 6th. of June, 2009, Devkota Centre granted the 2009 Devkota Centenary Research Fellowship jointly to three candidates: Mr. Phatik Poudel, Mr. Tara Adhikary, and Mr. Kumar Adhikary. The three scholars will jointly write a research paper on "Devkota as a Playwright." They will also translate Krishi-Bala into English.
